Review and Fact-Checking Policy page

HomeReview and Fact-Checking Policy page

Why it matters
Survival and travel advice can affect safety. We review content before publication and re-review when conditions change.

Process

  1. Drafting: the author documents steps, assumptions, and any field tests
  2. Fact-check: verify measurements, procedures, and safety notes against sources
  3. Review: a second qualified reviewer checks clarity, risk, and practicality
  4. Publish with dates: include published and updated dates plus the reviewer’s name
  5. Re-review triggers: reader reports, seasonal changes, new standards, or new field results

Reviewers
We list the reviewer on each page as reviewed by and include a short credential line.

Corrections

  • Minor fixes: silent update with refreshed date
  • Major safety changes: add a correction note at the top of the page
